Stefanos Tsitsipas is into the Final of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships for the second straight year after a dominant display to defeat Dan Evans.
Tsitsipas claimed the tie in a 6-2, 6-3 win and will take on either
Novak Djokovic or Gael Monfils who are currently playing their tie.
Evans couldn't reproduce his form he has shown for the past few weeks but there is a silver lining to this for the Brit as he will be at World No.28 when the rankings are updated next week showing his resurgence, all after failing a drugs test and almost having to start again.
With the likes of Kyle Edmund and Andy Murray suffering injuries with the former heading back towards the top, it has allowed Evans to assume that mantle as British Number One and he is now a serious contender for titles.
Against the Greek ace though he never had a break point in the whole tie which proved pivotal. Tsitsipas has good stats on the breaks with him only being broken twice in 43 games this week saving 12 out of 14 of them.
He now awaits an 11th ATP Tour Final with the stats currently standing at 5-5 but his most recent final saw him take home the trophy at the
Open 13 Provence in Marseille.
