Evans has been exceptional this week and the British number one who has been joined in success by his fellow Brit, Kyle Edmund as of late who has returned to the foray defeated the in-form Andrey Rublev in straight sets 6-2, 7-6 to reach his fourth ATP semi-final.
This is one of his best wins of the season with Rublev lifting back-to-back trophies in Doha and Adelaide and he was under constant pressure throughout.
He saved five break points in the final game of the first set before winning it on a third set point and he was broken in the final part of the game while serving at 5-4.
Rublev missed two set points from there in the tie break before he made a mistake of his own allowing Evans a route through. It is revenge for Evans who lost to Rublev in Adelaide and also he was defeated in the same position in Rotterdam.
Tsitsipas on the other hand is into the semi-finals for the second year in a row in the tournament as he came back from a set down to dispel Stuff 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 to set up the tie with Evans.
For the Greek ace he saved 6 out of his 7 break points during the match which proved pivotal and he lost his first set in his seven match winning streak.
A streak which has seen him win 14 out of 15 sets and despite both players relative form, it will be a first meeting between the pair tomorrow.
