The Champions chat series continued with another episode featuring
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Stan Smith and hosted by Tim Henman once again.
The Champions chat series is a series created by ATP to celebrate the anniversary of the
ATP Finals. The talk or chat is hosted by Tim Henman and usually pairs up two winners of the ATP Finals where one is a recent winner and one was a winner a long time ago. In this episode, we get to see the winner of the most recent ATP Finals in Stefanos Tsitsipas talk with the winner of the first ever edition of the ATP Finals Stan Smith.
The interview opened on a light note when Tsitsipas was asked what comes to mind when he hears the name Stan Smith and Stef graciously answered:
"A legend and the shoe".
Stefanos was referring to the now-iconic Stan Smith Adidas shoe that has become widely popular around the world. Smith responded by saying:
"I like the order of that Stef"
Smith was then asked about his experience winning the first-ever ATP Finals to which Smith responded by saying it was a fond memory and proceeded to show the trophy that was presented to him. It is much smaller than today's and the event was called the Masters back in 1970 when he won it.
