Not something you see everyday… A double foot fault to lose a match…
There are double faults to lose a match but the lesser seen double foot fault was evident this afternoon at the Millennium Estoril Open involving Fabio Fognini losing to Marco Cecchinato 6-4, 3-6, 3-6.
Foot faulting occurs when the server's foot touches or crosses any part of the baseline or center mark before contact is made with the ball.
In this case, Fognini did it twice and as a result surrendered the match to his compatriot.
