Taking place a week before the 2025
Hong Kong Open, the exhibition is designed to inspire and connect generations of players and fans. The event featured live demonstrations, interactive sessions, and panel discussions.
Sabalenka and Kalinskaya battled each other in a friendly, yet competitive match. Eight-time Grand Slam champion Agassi mentored young athletes, giving insightful lessons and sharing stories from his distinguished career on tour.
The exhibition event serves as a platform for future champions
The Prudential NextGen Aces event is more than just a tennis exhibition, it plays a huge role in empowering young athletes, who have the opportunity to receive mentorship and words of wisdom from established tennis stars.
“It’s always special to be part of events that bring tennis closer to people," said Sabalenka. "Sharing the court with legends and inspiring the next generation is something I truly value.”
Agassi, known for his unique insight, led a panel discussion and even took part in a special training session. The retired American expressed his delight at the growth of tennis among young athletes.
"Helping young players understand the game beyond technique is what drives me," said the former World No.1.
Sabalenka last competed on the WTA tour at the 2025 Wuhan Open, where she fell to American Jessica Pegula in three sets. This was the Belarusian's first loss in Wuhan, as she was the three-time defending champion at the WTA 1000 event.
After a third round exit at the US Open, Kalinskaya would fall in the first round in Beijing. The Russian would also compete in Wuhan, where she lost in the opening round to Slovak tennis star Rebecca Sramkova in three sets.
