Svitolina and Kvitova didn't finish proceedings on the grass court with the final moved to the hard court due to rain and light issues but after going down in the first set 6-3.
The Ukranian ace returned to breeze through the next set 6-1 before it went to the all important tiebreak to decide the winner. It was the former who continued that form onto the deciding set winning it 10-5 in only 11 minutes to claim the title.
In terms of statistics, it was Svitolina who held the aces with 68 percent of the first serve points won (32/47), compared to only 58 percent (26/45) from Kvitova.
Unforced errors were also Kvitova's issue with 30 compared to 13 for the World Number 12 despite dominating in the winners column. It is good practice though for both with the restart only a month away but Svitolina so far looks in good form ahead of it.
