The
Prize Money Leaders has been updated for yet another week in the WTA as we head slowly towards the end of the season with this week seeing the Pan Pacific Open and Guangzhou as the two main stops as the WTA Finals approaches.
Elena Rybakina in reality was the big winner when it comes to this past week and while she hasn't moved positions, winning Ningbo has given her a major boost when it comes to potentially usurping Madison Keys at some point after being some way behind. She came into this past week before winning Ningbo with $2,998,532 and now $3,162,532. This compared to $4,077,787 so she is still some way off but despite that she is in ninth ahead of Naomi Osaka.
Osaka herself had prize money added from the previous week so sits in 10th on $2,515,892 having added $6,815 this week. Mirra Andreeva of course is a dual threat in both singles and doubles so always adds some money to hers and she sits in sixth place having added $15,170 albeit visa issues have dented her chances of making it to the WTA Finals in the coming weeks. She couldn't take a late spot in Tokyo as a result.
Jasmine Paolini thrived though booking her Riyadh spot and she added $59,100 to keep on the coattails of the top four who in reality are out in front by a modicum of distance.
Aryna Sabalenka still leads by some way with $12,313,519 compared to $9,417,532 from Swiatek and
Coco Gauff follows alongside
Amanda Anisimova.
Gauff is on $7,274,845. While Anisimova is on $6,210,577 but the top four are still very much imperious and are unlikely to get caught any time soon. All have had pretty good years so in reality it's no surprise to see them all lead by some way.

Alexandrova, Bencic and Samsonova add huge totals
Further down Ekaterina Alexandrova who made her top 10 debut in the main rankings recently is 11th in this one and adds $101,000 to her total ahead of Belinda Bencic who also added money. She is now on $2,438,954 after adding $27,940 to her total.
Moves also for Elise Mertens and Veronika Kudermetova in 13th and 14th adding $4,160 and $15,170 respectively. All of these compared to last week's standings. Liudmila Samsonova further down also added $42,320 to her total to sit 21st. It will of course all cease after this week with the WTA Finals being the footnote of the season so this week sees the final chance to add vital prize money.
While these rankings aren't officially a way to judge the players, it is something which is used to dictate who is on form at the top of the sport in both singles and doubles with this total taking into account both. If a player leads based only on singles in particular, it shows the incredible season they are having hence the impressive nature of Sabalenka, Swiatek, Gauff and Anisimova's lead based mostly on singles totals.
