The
Delray Beach Open is due to take place between February 16-22 and is a tournament on the ATP 250 tour with a top line-up of mainly American talents coming together in the run-up towards the rest of the Middle East swing.
One of the final visits to America before the Sunshine Double, it sees Miomir Kecmanovic as defending champion with Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, Tommy Paul leading the way.
Many of those who play in
Dallas this week too will be involved in this tournament and will complete a double of North American tournaments instead of playing Doha and will then likely make the choice on whether to head to Dubai for one week before the double header in the States.

Predictions Delray Beach Open
Samuel Gill, Head Editor for TennisUpToDate.com sees Casper Ruud or Tommy Paul sealing the title.
I see a curveball in the mix in Casper Ruud and Tommy Paul being the leading two in the reckoning for the title.
Also see Learner Tien as being up there as well as Taylor Fritz of course. A great line-up of top American names and Ruud for instance will be back from paternity leave as such. This may give him freedom as such knowing that what he does pales in comparison to becoming a dad.
So I see him as being one of the leading favourites for the title.
*** Casper Ruud
** Tommy Paul, Taylor Fritz
* Learner Tien, Cameron Norrie, Flavio Cobolli
Cristhian Avila, Editor for TennisUpToDate sees mostly Americans in the reckoning for the title.
Taylor Fritz is the main favorite, with back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024; it was a complete surprise to see him eliminated early in 2025. The American can bounce back in one of his favorite settings, and the support of the local crowd will help him regain confidence. Attention should also be paid to Learner Tien, one of the most interesting new talents, who knows how to draw inspiration when the crowd is on his side, in addition to several wins when facing higher-ranked rivals.
Also watch Casper Ruud, who always keeps his composure and handles pressure well; it would be a surprise not to see him in the final rounds. The dark horse, in my opinion, will be Gabriel Diallo, who showed great level in the recent Davis Cup. In my view, he only needs more consistency to climb higher in the rankings. The level is there.
*Taylor Fritz
** Learner Tien, Casper Ruud
*** Gabriel Diallo, Tommy Paul
Theo Stodiek, Editor for TennisAktuell.DE sees Taylor Fritz as the favourite.
Next week’s Delray Beach Open promises fireworks on the Florida hard courts, as the 34th edition of this ATP 250 rolls into the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center. With four past champions in the draw and seven of the current top-30 names committed, the South Florida atmosphere will once again blend elite tennis with its signature party vibes.
For me, Taylor Fritz remains the favourite. A two‑time titlist in 2023 and 2024, the world No. 9 is already chasing a record third Delray crown and has built a strong reputation as a fast‑hard‑court force. How deep he goes in Dallas just before Delray will matter: should he reach another final there, he may arrive in Florida with tired legs or even skip the event altogether, which would open the path for others.
Even so, the title is far from Fritz‑only. Casper Ruud, the three‑time Grand Slam finalist, returns to the ATP Tour with clear ambition to add more coveted trophies to his résumé, and this Florida swing looks like a logical launchpad. His clay‑smarts translate surprisingly well on hot outdoor and fast hard courts, and the compact, intimate setting in Delray should suit his aggressive baseline game. Equally interesting is Learner Tien, the recent Next Gen ATP Finals winner whose ranking has rocketed up thanks to a blistering finish to last season. A second ATP‑250 title here, afer his win in Metz at the end of 2025, would be a perfect statement as he joins fellow Americans Tommy Paul and Frances Tiafoe in a field that feels both stacked and wide open.
