The
Next Gen ATP Finals will be the last official ATP tournament of the 2025 season, taking place from December 17 to 21 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The tournament will not feature 2024 champion Joao Fonseca, who, as the current World No. 24, opted to skip the event for U20 players.
However, there will be interesting names in the draw, led by young American Learner Tien—current World No. 28 in the ATP Rankings and a Next Gen finalist a year ago. Other standout names include Belgian Alexander Blockx, Croatian Dino Prizmic, and Spaniard Martin Landaluce.
Unlike the rest of ATP tournaments, the
Next Gen Finals do not distribute ranking points, and the winner is not officially considered an ATP title champion—although the matches do count toward each player's official win-loss record. The tournament features a special format, with 8 players divided into two groups of four—similar to the ATP Finals. Matches are best-of-five sets, first to four games each, with a tiebreak at 3-all. Additionally, matches are played with no-ad scoring and reduced shot-clock times.
The tournament will feature a total prize pool of $2,101,250, an absolute record for the event, with a maximum of $539,750 available for an undefeated champion—someone who wins all five matches played.
Prize money is calculated based on match results. The participation fee for each player is $154,000, with an additional $37,500 for each Round Robin match win. A semi-final victory will be worth $116,000, and the championship match will yield the winner $157,250.
