Jiri Vesely defeated Egor Gerasimov in the final at the 2020 Tata Open in Pune to win his second ATP title, first after 5 years.

Vesely had a great tournament in India. First, he outplayed Kadhe and Caruso in two sets. Then he succeeded in 3 set battles against Ivashka and Berankis to reach the final.
In the final, no. 107 in the ATP Ranking faced 8th seeded Egor Gerasimov. Vesely hit 26 aces during the match out of which he hit 12 in the first set what helped him to win it 7-6.
In the second set, he was not so successful when Gerasimov managed to convert his first breakpoint in the 11th game. However, Vesely got a better start to the 3rd set gaining an early 3-0 lead. The Czech went on to win the set 6-3 and win his first ATP title after 5 years.
