Novak Djokovic has revealed that he is yet to decide on a new agent to shake up his team after he split with Edoardo Artaldi earlier this year.
The World No. 1 worked with his business manager and longtime agent Artaldi, along with the latter's wife Elena Cappellaro for 15 years before parting ways with the couple in September 2023.
The 36-year-old confirmed the reports while competing at the 2023
Paris Masters last week, where he won his 40th ATP Masters 1000 title, revealing that they decided to go their separate ways after he equaled Margaret Court's record of 24 Grand Slam titles at the US Open two months ago.
Djokovic talks of "new chapter" off the court
Artaldi and Cappellaro began working with Djokovic in 2008, shortly after the Serbian player won his first Australian Open title.
"We remain friends, but professionally we’re going our separate ways. A new chapter begins for me in everything concerning my life off the court. The transition isn’t easy, but things are moving forward," Djokovic said (via Tennis Majors).
However, a source close to the player shared that Djokovic hadn't yet made up his mind on a new agent due to the fact that "the team surrounding him is still being put together."
The most likely candidate to become the tennis star's new agent is his business advisor Mark Madden. The Briton was seen with Djokovic in Paris and was accredited as an "agent" by ATP.
However, nothing has been confirmed yet, and Madden has been seen accompanying Djokovic at tournaments in the past, meaning the name of the new agent remains unclear.
