The draw has been confirmed ahead of the 2023 Transylvania Open which will take place in Cluj-Napoca between October 16-22 and is one of the usual WTA 250 curtain closers on the season.
The tournament is usually well attended and is seen as one of the best WTA 250 tournaments in a season, but Caroline Garcia and Donna Vekic are now out due to injuries.
This means that Sorana Cirstea will spear head the field which sees her face talented German, Eva Lys. While Alycia Parks is second seed and will face Elena-Gabriela Ruse.
Third seed is Greet Minnen, while Rebeka Masarova will face German teenager Noma Noha Akugue who made a name for herself in Hamburg and was named as the player to watch by Sloane Stephens.
