Certainly not resting on his laurels, Jannik Sinner will look to head straight on to his next goal which will see him play during the Sunshine Double in Indian Wells and Miami.
Sinner claimed the Rotterdam Open on Sunday defeating Aussie ace, Alex de Minaur 7-5, 6-4 for his second title of the season after winning the Australian Open and remains unbeaten so far this season. He won his maiden Grand Slam having not played before that point in the season so currently sits at 12-0.
The new World Number Three takes over this week in the ATP Ranking and sees him reach another milestone in his career so far, but he certainly sees improvement needed and it is what he constantly wants so he doesn't stagnate. It will also be needed with his status now seeing further expectations.
"It means a lot to win after last year, it means that I have learned from my mistakes. It is an important trophy for me, they have always helped me. The final was difficult, I tried to stay there mentally. I struggled with the service, but I can't always do everything perfectly. Now head to Indian Wells. The game is won with work during the week, there is 80-90 percent of training behind a victory.
"We are consistent, we have good recovery and this makes me a better player. My head is always moving towards improvement and this brings positivity. Now I feel more confident, the results are coming. Now let's try to sort out other details in view of the next tournaments," explained Jannik to Sky Sport.
