Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev are both only one step away from winning their first Grand Slam trophy. While the Austrian is walking through the US Open draw in a really dominant way, his German opponent lost 6 sets on his way to the final.

The only player that was able to take a set away from Thiem was Marin Cilic in the third round. On the other hand, Zverev lost a set to Anderson, Nakashima, Mannarino, Coric, and Carreno-Busta.

The H2H also speaks for Thiem. The Austrian has won 7 out of 9 matches he played against Zverev as the German triumphed once in Beijing back in 2016 and then in Madrid in 2018. Naomi Osaka and Victoria Azarenka are chasing their 3rd Grand Slam title at the 2020 US Open. While the Belorussian triumphed at the Australian Open back in 2012 and 2013, Osaka won the 2018 US Open and 2019 Australian Open and so it can be the third year in a row with a Grand Slam title for her.

Both players are coming also from a winning streak from the Western & Southern Open. They were supposed to meet in the final, but Osaka withdrew due to an injury. Now, they will play the final and fight for the title. Before, they met three times on the WTA Tour with Osaka winning two matches on the claycourt and Azarenka winning at the 2016 Australian Open.

Naomi Osaka, Jennifer Brady, Victoria Azarenka, and Serena Williams are the best four women of the 2020 US Open. Two moms and experienced Grand Slam champions and two youngsters out of which one has already experience with lifting the Grand Slam trophy.

It will be the match of the younger two from the semifinal four that will kick-off the action on Thursday. Until the 2020 US Open, Jennifer Brady didn't get past the 4th round at the Grand Slam, now she's playing in the semifinals against Naomi Osaka. Moreover, the American didn't lose a single set on her way to the semifinals and she's in a great form as she also triumphed in Lexington a few weeks ago without losing a set.

On the other hand, Naomi Osaka has a plenty of experience with Grand Slam semifinals. The 22-years-old Japanese player has already lifted a Grand Slam trophy twice and reached the first place in the WTA Rankings in January 2019.

The second semifinal match will be much different. Two great champions, two former leaders of the WTA Rankings, and two moms. Serena Williams will take on Victoria Azarenka on her journey to the 24th Grand Slam title.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion is playing stunning tennis in Flushing Meadows. On the other hand, Azarenka returned to the form she had back in 2012-2013. The Belorusian lost only 2 sets in the last 10 matches and claimed a title at the Western & Southern Open. Wednesday will complete the semifinal line-ups for the 2020 US Open. The day session at the Arthur Ashe Stadium will be kicked-off by the third-seeded players. First- women's no. 3, Serena Williams will take on Tsvetana Pironkova who seems to be unstoppable on her come back.

Then, men's third-seeded Daniil Medvedev will meet Andrey Rublev in an all-Russian quarterfinal. Medvedev defeated Rublev already three times during the career and didn't lose a single set to a fellow countryman.

The night session will be started by the 2020 Western & Southern Open champion, Victoria Azarenka facing Elise Mertens. It will be the first meeting for the two as both are aiming for their first triumph at the US Open.

The Australian youngster, Alex de Minaur will take on the second-seeded Dominic Thiem in the last match of the day. The Austrian defeated his younger opponent at the 2017 US Open without losing a set and will try to do the same also this year.

After Tuesday we'll already know the first two semifinalists for ATP & WTA tournament at the 2020 US Open. All of the singles matches will be played at the Arthur Ashe Stadium and everything shows that we're close to getting to know the next Grand Slam champion.

Jennifer Brady will kick-off the day against Yulia Putintseva. Although Putintseva defeated Brady twice back in 2018, the American is in a stunning form and didn't lose a set at the 2020 US Open yet.

Alexander Zverev will take on Borna Coric in the first men's quarterfinal match. The Croat is leading 3-1 in H2H against Zverev and defeated him at the 2017 US Open. However, the German is in a very good form and he will be trying to convert the absence of the Big Three to his first Grand Slam title.

Naomi Osaka will play against Shelby Rogers already 4th time in her career, but for the first time on the WTA Tour and in the US Open quarterfinals. The two previously met three times on Challenger Tour with Rogers winning all three matches.

Pablo Carreno-Busta who advanced to the quarterfinals after the default of Novak Djokovic will take on in-form playing Denis Shapovalov. Carreno-Busta leads H2H 3-1, and the only Shapovalov's victory comes from the clay in Rome and so the Canadian will try to get his first victory against Carreno-Busta on the hardcourt and also take revenge from the 2017 US Open where he lost in three sets.

Monday is expected to be full of statements following Novak Djokovic's disqualification. However, it will be also full of tennis. After the 17-time Grand Slam champion dropped out of the tournament, there will be a new Grand Slam champion. It can be Vasek Pospisil who will take on Alex de Minaur in the fourth round. But also Dominic Thiem, who played already 3 Grand Slam finals will get his chance as he'll take on Felix Auger-Aliassime.

The 2019 US Open men's finalist, Daniil Medvedev will play against Federico Delbonis on the Arthur Ashe Stadium in the night hours. The 2020 Western & Southern Open finalist, Milos Raonic will clash with Leonardo Mayer on Tuesday.

The seven Grand Slam champions from the women's draw will have a lot of work to do on Tuesday if they want to succeed. 2-time Grand Slam champion, Garbine Muguruza will be playing against Nao Hibino.
